Free Epilepsy/Seizure Self-management Training

The American Epilepsy Society, in partnership with Dartmouth Health, is hosting two concurrent full-day free epilepsy/seizure self-management trainings for non-specialist healthcare providers, community health workers, and health educators on Thursday, December 1, 2022, in Nashville.

These free trainings are part of a project aimed to improve outcomes for underserved individuals with epilepsy/seizures by improving the epilepsy clinical knowledge of the non-specialist care workforce.

Research has shown improved outcomes for individuals with seizures or epilepsy who follow evidence-based self-management programs to help manage their day-to-day routines. The goal is to expand access to these programs and provide clinical and community care teams with evidence-based resources in an effort improve quality of life and outcomes for people with epilepsy or seizures.
