CREATING A PATH FORWARD
October 6-9, 2022
Franklin Marriott Cool Springs
700 Cool Springs Blvd.
Franklin, TN 37067
This year, the Tennessee Nurses Association conference will examine the issues nurses have experienced, the effects of nursing-related outcomes and ways to best create and extend a path forward. In so doing, we will revisit our historical roots of conquering hardships and obstacles that have so often plagued our profession and reinforce our unifying voice to positively influence healthcare.
The Tennessee Student Nurses Association (TSNA) will be joining us on Friday and Saturday. TSNA will hold their membership assembly during this time and have an election of officers to the TSNA Board. An NCLEX review is scheduled as well. More details will be added to the conference webpage as they become available.

The BLS is projecting 4,320 annual Registered Nurses job openings in Tennessee, and 69,280 total jobs in the year 2026. Nationwide, the prediction is 203,700 annual jobs and 3,393,200 total jobs in 2026.
The Nashville metro area — which includes Murfreesboro, Franklin, and Davidson County — has the fifth highest concentration of nurse practitioners in the country.
Over 120 schools in Tennessee offered courses in the Nursing Services program of study with programs growing every year and legislation allowing students to start their nursing education path in high school.
Why support Nurses now?
Since the World Health Organization acknowledged that the Covid-19 pandemic was occurring on March 11, 2020, even the most skilled, experienced clinicians have been challenged, sometimes to the brink of mental and physical exhaustion. Because national Covid-19 numbers are declining in most areas of the country, many are looking at picking up the pieces and gathering thoughts on how to move onward. Following any mental challenge, the debriefing phase is essential for mental health support. This stage is a time for reflection, acceptance, and recovery. This year, the Tennessee Nurses Association conference will examine the issues nurses have experienced, the effects of nursing related outcomes and ways to best create and extend a path forward.
Who attends this conference?
Our members and conference attendees are leaders in the fields of research, education, management and providing healthcare services in almost every type of clinical setting. This conference provides TNA members and attendees opportunities to network, continue their education, and learn more about your organization, company, and products/services. When you support our Annual Conference, Tennessee nurses will know that you support the nursing profession. We expect a record number of attendees this year not only because we are centrally located in the state but because the Tennessee Student Nurses Association will be joining us, and we will be offering access to sessions virtually.
